This means you’ll need to liberate seven Mongol outposts. In total, you’ll need 13 gold to upgrade to max level. Liberating Mongol Territories unlocks the following trophies : Hero of the People Liberate 12 occupied areas in Izuhara. All are 'unmissable' and many are included in Jin's Journey, Tales of Tsushima and Mythic Tales quests. Kamiagata has only two: General Bartu’s camp in the center General Dogshin’s camp in the far north. There are fifty-seven (57) Mongol Territories: 24 in Izuhara, 18 in Toyotama and 15 in Kamiagata. Three are in Toyotama: Numata settlement in northwestern Akashima, Fort Imai in northern Umugi and Kishibe Village in northern Otsuna. There are four of them on the first map: logging bases in southwestern and northeastern Azamo, a destroyed shipyard in southwestern Kashine and the Ogawa Dojo in southwestern Hiyoshi. If you get close to it, and it’s location is revealed on the map, you can see this info as you move the pointer over the icon. They give two units of gold upon clearing, as well as a Technique point. In order to get it, you’ll need to liberate the largest Mongol outposts, the ones with a camp icon on the map. The White Dye Merchant is located in upper Kashine prefecture of the Izuhara region, found along a mountain called Wanderers Pass on the map, north of Kashine Forest. If you’re wondering how to get gold, you’re not the only one – this is the rarest metal in the game. Steel is only needed for katana upgrades, and you’ll need around 155 pieces to fully upgrade it. At the end of our playthrough, we ended up with around 180 units. Clear out outposts, scavenge around and you’ll have more than enough. You can also get steel by liberating Tsushima from small Mongol outposts. You can also find steel near forges, or in any area with an industrial purpose. So once you are in those liberated camps, be sure to check the tents. They are almost always on shelves,or in small cases on ground. They are commonly found in and around outpost tents, the round ones. If you are wondering how to get steel, you probably haven’t been to the Mongol outposts yet. More than enough to buy all those sword upgrades. Ghost of Tsushima has 56 Mongol Territories you can liberate (Occupied Areas / Outposts / Strongholds / Farms). There are plenty of new quests and side quests Tales of Iki to do, along with a variety of new map. We weren’t even that thorough in finding all iron locations, and we still wound up with 140 iron at the end. Ghost of Tsushima’s Iki Island Expansion adds a new area to explore Iki Island. You’ll get around ten iron upon picking up resource gifts. ![]() This option unlocks fairly early on in the game, somewhere around the time you get to the Golden Temple.
